Jessica

Jessica is a lifelong passionate animal lover. She grew up with cats, dogs, hamsters, bunnies and other animals, and she loves being outdoors and hiking, especially with a furry companion. After she and her husband welcomed their first child in 2017 she became a stay-at-home mom, but now that he’s in school she’s excited to venture back into the workforce doing something she loves. For the past decade she has fostered animals for numerous shelters and rescues, and she has become deeply involved with two local rescues in Granby and Simsbury, gaining valuable knowledge and skills. Her house is full of animals, including three cats, a big goofy dog and 20 chickens!

Alex

Alex, a former journalist who grew up in Connecticut, has always had multiple pets in his life. Over the years, he and his wife Carolyn have had an adopted a Siamese cat from Arizona, a rescue greyhound from California and a rescue street dog from Texas, to name a few. (They also have three adult children.) They live in Avon with the Dread Pirate Westley, a goofy (and lovable) Bernedoodle, and Mad Max, a fiendishly handsome Siamese mix.

Ember

Ember graduated from Central Connecticut State University with a degree in Psychology, but their real passion has always been animals. For the last six years, they have worked as an animal care professional, including two years in veterinary hospitals. They live in Avon with a dilute tortie cat, a half Husky/Eskimo dog, and a parrot who is as naughty as he is hilarious. When they’re not hanging out with the animals, they love to travel. In 2024, Ember visited Egypt, and while exploring the Dendera Temple of Hathor they made a new friend: the temple’s famous resident cat, Cece! Ember loves combining their background in behavior with their clinical experience to give every pet the best care possible. Whether it’s daily walks or extra snuggles, your pet’s happiness is Ember’s top priority.
